Dr. Wang’s laboratory focuses on the intersection of machine learning and medical imaging. The lab develops and applies methods in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science to process and analyze medical images to understand the mechanisms of diseases and build diagnostic/predictive models.

  • May 18, 2026: We are pleased to announce that our team has been awarded a new Nebraska Research Initiative (NRI) grant, with Nebraska Research Initiative support for an innovative research project focused on prenatal health. In this project, Dr. Wang will serve as Co-Project Leader. The grant will support our efforts to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to predict the risk of congenital heart disease in prenatal fetuses. Congratulations to the entire team on this exciting achievement!
