Dr. Wang’s laboratory focuses on the intersection of machine learning and medical imaging. The lab develops and applies methods in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science to process and analyze medical images to understand the mechanisms of diseases and build diagnostic/predictive models.

  • Feb 26, 2026: A preprint version of our paper on “Classification of Adolescent Drinking via Behavioral, Biological, and Environmental Features: A Machine Learning Approach with Bias Control” has been published in medRxiv (2026).
  • Sep 24, 2025: Dr. Wang is awarded the NIH/NIGMS Women's Health Supplemental Funding to the UNMC Center for Heart and Vascular Research (CHVR)! We will focus on developing AI models for reducing maternal stress and improving pregnancy experiences. Thanks for the generous support from NIH!
